The Leadership Fund serves as the political arm of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce. It is organized to promote the election of pro-business/pro-jobs candidates to the Minnesota Legislature and Governor's office. The Leadership Fund represents hundreds of contributors from across Minnesota and is governed by a volunteer board of directors.

Election Activities

» Endorsement of candidates
» Direct contributions to candidates
» Independent Expenditures (i.e. newspaper and radio ads, direct mail, phone banks, etc.)

Candidate Endorsement Criteria

Candidates are endorsed and supported based on the following criteria:

» The candidate’s elect-ability in their district;
» Support of business issues as demonstrated through questionnaire and/or interview responses;
» Local business community support;
» Voting record (incumbents only);
» Leadership on key business issues (incumbents only).
