PACnic 2009 – The 15th Annual Event!
"A Political Stimulus Package"

On Friday, April 24, 2009 the Minnesota Senate voted 35 to 31 to raise your taxes $2.2 Billion. On Saturday, April 25, 2009 the Minnesota House of Representatives voted 68 to 65 to raise your taxes $1.5 Billion. This decision was made despite the severe economic downturn and despite the advice from business leaders who say that now more than ever, the legislature should focus on improving Minnesota’s business climate rather than raising taxes.

Is there any doubt that Minnesota is in need of a "political stimulus package?"

Just as our economy is in need of a “shock to the system,” our legislature is in need of a significant influx of new, pro-business legislators. As the Minnesota and TwinWest Chamber Political Action Committees, our job is to provide a “political stimulus” to the Minnesota House and Senate in the 2010 and 2012 elections.

This year, we are entering “phase 2” of our long-term plan to elect a pro-business majority (regardless of party) to the Minnesota House. To succeed at our “8-10-12” initiative, we targeted 8 races in 2008 and plan to focus on 10 in 2010 and 12 in 2012. Win a majority of those races and we’ll be on the road to political and economic recovery. Your contribution of at least $100 to the Minnesota or TwinWest Chamber PAC is an excellent way to start!

Please attend PACnic 2009 to do your part to ensure that our “8-10-12” plan provides a political stimulus in Saint Paul after next year’s elections!
